10cDabo is a feeding program that helps feed some of the neediest children in Ethiopia. (un)adopted is excited about partnering with Eyes That See to help raise money and awareness to care for these children. Because of extreme poverty in Ethiopia, many children are malnourished and dig through dumpsters looking for scraps of food to eat. Not only are these children physically impoverished, they are also spiritually impoverished and need the Gospel of Christ. Eyes That See works with an Ethiopian school of 2,000 students with over 500 of them living as double or single orphans.
The goal of the 10cDabo program is to provide a meal at school to children who otherwise would have no food. Dabo is the Amharic (Ethiopian national language) word for bread. 10 cents provides 1 piece of bread to 1 student each day. 60 cents provides 1 student with an entire meal and a drink. Through physically loving these children, Eyes That See will be able to show them the love of Christ and also build relationships with their families so that the Gospel can be shared in homes.
This year, (un)adopted will be joining Eyes That See to celebrate “The Month of Change” from April 1-30th. You can contribute to making an immediate, positive, Gospel-centered change in the lives of Ethiopian children by collecting spare change in a sandwich bag and bringing it to the Lifeline office by April 30. All of the change collected during the month of April will help fund the feeding program within Ethiopia.
