Overview:

(un)adopted is thankful to partner with Developing Hope to help support a girls’ home and sewing center in Pakistan.  Through the girls’ home, 30 little girls are provided with a place to live, learn, and grow as they are shown the love of Christ. We invite you to prayerfully consider supporting one or more of these little girls through a partial sponsorship of $35 per month or full sponsorship of $140 per month.  As we minister to the physical needs of these young girls our desire is for them to know the love of Christ.  We are humbled by the way the Lord continues to provide for these 30 girls who have the opportunity to live in the home.  Please join us in caring for these precious children.

(un)adopted is also partnering with Developing Hope in opening a sewing center for women in Pakistan. We are very thankful for the Martha Pullen Sewing Company (link?) for assisting us in purchasing 8 sewing machines in Pakistan. The sewing center opened March 21, 2012 with 17 ladies enrolled and ready to learn how to sew. By the third day, 8 more students enrolled bringing the total to 25 students! The number of students is increasing as news of the center spreads among the community. 65% of the students are older girls who were never able to attend school. 35% of the students only completed a few years of school due to lack of finances.  The students have the opportunity to learn the skill of sewing on a 3, 6, or 9 month track. At the completion of the course, each student is given a small sewing machine to help them implement the skills they learned at the center. Please pray for these women as they are learning a new skill, gaining confidence, and contributing to bring about positive change in their families and communities.

Currently, (un)adopted does not have opportunities to travel with teams to Pakistan.

Pray:

• Pray for the 30 girls that make the orphanage their home.
• Pray for the directors, that the Lord will give this loving couple the strength and energy to care daily for the girls.
• Pray that the Gospel will be made known not only in the girls’ lives, but through the girls to reach the lost in their city and country.
• Pray that the Lord will stir in the hearts of His people to provide financial support so the girls can live in a loving home where they hear the Gospel, receive education, and learn job skills.
